What
is SMARTER?
SMARTER
is a motorcyclist association whose membership represents the wide
variety of people who own and
operate motorcycles. SMARTER
is an association that represents owners
of all brands, whose members are women and men of all ages, and whose interests
in motorcycling cover the full range of possibilities: touring, off-road,
restoring and collecting, commuting, and road racing, just to name a few. SMARTER
is an association representing the broad spectrum of the motorcycling population. We own Aprilia, Bimota, BMW,
BSA, Buell, Cagiva, Ducati, Enfield, Harley-Davidson, Honda,
Husaberg, Indian, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, MuZ, Suzuki, Triumph, Vengeance, Vespa, Victory, and
Yamaha motorcycles.
Our Mission
The mission of SMARTER
is

To
provide research-based information and conduct conferences or forums
regarding motorcyclist safety issues. |

To
provide a medium of communication, expression, information, and program
implementation for motorcyclists who value research, education, and skill
training related to proficient motorcycle riding and risk-reduction
measures. |

To be a model, for individuals new to the
world of motorcycling and for the general public, of smart riders, riding
smart. |
|
To
be the voice of and to represent to the public the positions of responsible,
trained, and educated motorcyclists. |
|
To
inform regarding the role of regulations and governmental actions as
components of a comprehensive motorcyclist safety program, such as mandatory
helmet laws, licensure, road construction, etc. |
